Our Misson

Promote better understanding between Flushing Athletics and interested fans, and to strive to support any activity the organization deems favorable to further the cause of the interscholastic athletic programs at Flushing Community Schools. The club shall be a non-profit organization.

We are a non-profit organization that provides, support to the teams, coaches, and athletes at Flushing Community Schools. We raise money for the sole purpose of giving it back to the athletic programs

We provide financial support for ALL Flushing sport teams.

Booster meetings are held monthly throughout the school year. All meetings are held at 7:00 pm in the Flushing High School Library unless otherwise noted.

Coaches: please use this form to request funds from the Boosters and/or from your accounts. If you would like to make a request for funds from the general fund, please ensure this form is sent to the Athletic Director at least one week prior to the meeting you are making the request.

Our Status

The Flushing Athletic Boosters is a registered 501(3)(C) organization classified by the IRS as "a public charity." Our EIN is available upon request from the Treasurer

Donations

All donations are deductible as contributions on the donor's federal income tax return up to 50% of the total contribution when itemized. All donations will be acknowledged with an email and/or letter which states the value/amount donated, confirmation that no goods or services were exchanged for your donation, and our federal EIN for your records. Please see your tax professional for any questions regarding donations and/or deductions.

Scholar Athlete Program

Flushing Scholar Athlete

The Flushing Athletic Boosters sponsor the Flushing Scholar Athlete Program. The requirement to be honored as a Scholar Athlete is that the athlete needs to have achieved a 3.6 GPA from the previous marking period. It does not involve the student’s cumulative GPA.

Scholar-athlete awards:

First Time athlete receives the award: Flushing Raider Scholar Athlete T-Shirt

Second time athlete receives the award: Flushing Raider Varsity Jacket Patch

Third time athlete receives the award: Raider Athlete Pin

Once a scholar athlete has been honored with the three awards, Booster sponsored awards end.

Flushing Varsity Jacket Championship Patch Program

Varsity Jacket Championship Patches

The Flushing Athletic Boosters Sponsor the Flushing Varsity Jacket Patches. Patches can be ordered for an athlete for any sport that achieves:

Raider Team: League Champs, District Champs, Regional Champs, State Qualifier/Champs

Individual Raider : District Finalist, Regional Finalist, State Qualifier/Champ

The patches can be ordered thru the Flushing Athletic Boosters. The athlete pays the nominal fee of $5 and the Boosters will cover the rest of the patch cost.
